It's been quite a few years since I have offered the classic version of the True Love Day to anyone. For those of you who do not know, in 2002, I began to love the world, one person at a time, to the best of my ability, unconditionally and with unmitigated passion, for a day or afternoon, an hour or an early morning, like that . . total strangers mostly, to much deep affect for everyone, all the way around.
The project has had many mutations but the classic version is that I love whoever commissions me from midnight to midnight, non-stop, in whatever way the day presents itself, without an agenda or prescribed choreography and everything is inherently perfect in whatever we both show up. There are no mistakes.
The project started out with me being so impressed with my seductive self & has become a humble practice. I feel very young when I practice True Love.
I am not here today to discuss EVERYTHING, though it is highly entertaining. (I have been forbidden to bring up the True Love Project at dinner parties, because, well, there goes the rest of the evening . . ) You can check out the original project here or read some interesting press here & ask me whatever you like, but for today, for this Valentine's Day, despite a few exciting sprouts in my garden of love, I chose to love Jessica Reeder virtually & in subspace, deeply & ~ despite anxiety & lingering auspicious dreams of the frontline between good & evil ~ with as much presence & surrender as I was able, all day long. More will be revealed in the next days, as Jessica is one of the creatrixes of LOVE & TRASH & she is/will be writing about our love there (after she has had adequate time to digest all her energetic pampering).
I love her.
