My mother and I have never gotten along. As she looked at me with worried eyes, she said, "Honey, I'm just trying to look out for you."

The difference between love and hate, enemy and family is indistinguishable. Moments lost in time.

How dare she act that way, when all she'd done is show up once or twice and then leave again?

"Fine."

That's all I said back, as the eyes that were so much like mine became glassy.

"I'm sorry! I'm trying my best for us as a family!"

Even as I comforted her, I thought about how ridiculous she was.

Does this make me a bad person? Do you think I'm being selfish?

My mask of a smile went over my face as I said with Splenda-sweet assurance, "Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I just get angry sometimes, okay?"

Even though i knew i really didn't mean it, I played my part very well.

The difference between kindness and indifference are memories set in stone.

Just because I'm not a nice person doesn't mean I can't act like one.

The difference between a hero and a villain are the eyes you're watching from.

Inside my head is a jumbled mess.  Inside my heart I’m still thinking about him.  Outside in this world that’s slowly turning black there is a complicated life lead by a hard to read girl.  Inside there seems to be nothing wrong but once you walk through those doors ahead you’ll see maybe outside isn’t all one big horror.  There’s one boy I would love to be with all the time & if that means staying outside day and night I’d do it.  The way life is now makes you think that you can be who ever you want to be.  One thing I’m truly afraid of is that one girl waits by these doors sitting, staring, and hoping I’ll finally walk through them.  Maybe inside is just a place I think I’m safe.

I am from a house that is made out of trees that stays strong and beautiful.

I am from the woods and the leaves.

The leaves move, breathe and eat.

I am from a house of chaos back long ago

I am from a blue flower.

A blue flower with a green stem who is strong and powerful

A  flower that loves sunlight.

A flower that is blue when it rains

But happy because I’m thirsty and I get a drink of water.

I am from a loving family.

A family who loves me for me.
