Kristen Fehrenbach
has a Bachelor’s of Art degree from Burlington College and graduate study in studio art and education from the Massachusetts College of Art and the Harvard University Extension School. After working for several years with Kathe Izzo as administrative assistant and teacher in The Shadow Project, Fehrenback oversaw the expansion of the education program outreach of The Provincetown Art Association and Museum and introduced the concept of Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) into the museum's youth education program.
Since starting with Great River Arts in September 2006, she has been managing our OPEN ART – after-school literacy program, which currently serves 11 communities in the Fall Mountain Regional School District and the Windham Northeast Supervisory Union. This experience will help the development of the Voices program as she already has relationships with many regional school administrators and artists.
Driven by her passion for skiing and the realization that women were largely under represented in most aspects of the ski and snowboard industry, Kristen is also co-creator and owner of Team Betty ® - a brand of nationally distributed accessories geared toward female skiers and snowboarders.
